The Business

In addition to Beachcomber Hot Tubs, McBurney Pools & Spas specializes in above swimming pools sales and installation. We carry brands by Vogue and Trevi and accessories by Hayward. We offer heat pumps, solar panels, salt water systems, automatic vacuum systems, chemicals and water care products for both swimming pools & hot tubs.  They have an experienced installation team and also provide technical support and service to our clients through the Halifax regional Municipality, Truro, Cape Breton, Bridgewater and surrounding areas.

Family Story

McBurney Pools & Spas is a family owned and operated company. Its humble beginning began 30+ years ago out of the home of  Bill & Carilyn McBurney. As the company grew with the addition of a second location, the 3 children, Tara, Mark and Holly took on more active rolls within the company. They have two furry mascots that will welcome you into the Halifax location, Oliver Marx and Cali Oreo.  

Store History

They have two locations serving Nova Scotia to help create your backyard dreams. The Shubenacadie location warehouses all above ground pools and swimming pool accessories. The Dartmouth showroom, which had its grand opening in 2005, displays hot tubs, swimming pool accessories and a complete line of water care products for both pools & hot tubs.

McBurney Pools & Spas participates in many charity and community events. They sponsor several golf tournaments every year including MADD, Sunshine Kids and the RCMP.  They also help Feed Nova Scotia with our annual “Stuff-a-Tub with Grub” campaign.
